RASEINIAI BESS PARK 200MW/400MWh

Project overview

Project description

The Raseiniai BESS Park is a large-scale 200 MW / 400 MWh battery energy storage facility located in the Raseiniai region of Lithuania. Connected to the 30/330 kV Berteskiai substation, this project is designed to enhance grid stability, enable renewable energy integration, and support Lithuania’s transition toward a resilient and flexible power system.

  • Strategic and cost-effective grid connection: The chosen connection point at the 330 kV Berteskiai high-voltage line ensures an efficient and financially optimized integration with the national grid.

  • Shared infrastructure savings: Approximately 80 % of LITGRID/TSO connection costs are covered by a partnering wind-park developer, substantially lowering capital expenditure.

  • Secured financing and incentives: The project has received a €70 million state bank loan at a competitive annual interest rate.
